Neurofeedback

Neurofeedback, or EEG Biofeedback, is a form of operant conditioning that directly trains the brainwaves.  It is a non-invasive and very effective technique that improves the brain's ability to respond to the environment, both internal and external, with healthy patterns of functioning. Since the brain can be trained to regulate itself, habitual brainwave patterns that cause painful symptoms and/or harmful behaviors can be replaced by balanced and healthy brainwave patterns.

Before Neurofeedback treatment begins, an assessment is performed and the client's brainwaves are analyzed. This allows Dr. Kerdman to specifically target each individual's issues. The process of Neurofeedback is completely painless and clients often experience a swift resolution in certain symptoms.

During Neurofeedback, sensors that deliver brainwave information into highly advanced computer programs are placed on the client's scalp and earlobes. The computer then records and feeds back the information through a variety of audio and visual cues. A variety of programs are used to target different areas of the brain including movies, music, and video games. In order to receive the feedback  i.e. movie to keep playing, the brain must produce task appropriate brainwaves.

Neurofeedback can address a variety of issues including:

ADD/ADHD, Dyslexia, Learning Disabilities, Hyperactivity, Social Issues, Accident Related Brain Injury, Stroke, Autism, Auto-Immune Disorders, Seizures, Psychological Issues, Depression, Manic depression, Compulsivity, Eating Disorders, Stress, Peak Performance, Sleep Disorders
